TIPS & TRICKS
Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Did you know....
-
The maximum number of records that you can
export at the same time from Microsoft CRM 3.0 to Microsoft Excel is
10,000 records? This behavior is by design.
The out of the box maximum attachment size in Microsoft CRM is 5
MB? This is by design but can also be changed for the server
installation in the registry.

Salesforce
Oops! Did you accidentally delete a contact, lead or
any other type of record? When a record is deleted, it is placed in the
Recycle Bin of the user that deleted the record. The record stays in the
Recycle Bin for 30 days, after which it is automatically purged. During
those 30 days, deleted records can be undeleted by retrieving it from
the Recycle Bin.
To retrieve the record from the Recycle Bin:
-
Click on the Home tab.
-
Click on the Recycle Bin link / trash can icon.
-
Check the action box next to the records you want to retrieve and click "Undelete".
-
Users with System Administrator rights can view and retrieve items from the Recycle Bin for all users.
*Note - Variations of Deletion behavior:
-
If a child record is deleted (such as contact or opportunity), and the parent record is subsequently deleted (e.g. the account), the child record is permanently deleted. Therefore even if the parent record is undeleted, the child record cannot be recovered. [If the child record is undeleted first this won’t happen].
-
When a parent account is deleted all the links to the child accounts are removed. If that account is subsequently restored from the recycle bin, the links to the previous children accounts are not restored.
