ACT!ACT!
ACT! has announced the release of ACT! 7.0.3. Please read our Tips & Tricks section on how to download thisupdate and install. This release included numerous fixes as well as support for two-way synchronization of handheld devices using the ACT! Link for Palm OS and ACT! Link for Pocket PC. The following are some of the fixes that have been made with this release:

  • Install/Uninstall: Due to an issue with the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 uninstallers, not all SQL Registry keys were being properly removed. This issue has been resolved.
  • Import: When importing from Outlook, contacts are now sorted by name
  • Activities: Past activities that were synchronized to ACT! from Outlook are now purged correctly
  • Email: Graphical images are no longer lost when sending email from Microsoft Word using Internet Explorer when using the Send Email command under the ACT! menu.
  • Opportunities: Opportunities can now be copied and pasted from one contact to another.

ACCPAC CRMSage CRM
ACCPAC CRM V5.7 is here and is packed with great new features! Significant enhancements to many existing features will also improve current users' experience with the product. Some new features of ACCPAC CRM V5.7 are:
  • Quotes & Order Entry - ACCPAC CRM 5.7 now comes with its own stand-alone quoting and order entry module. This module allows users to produce and save multiple quotes per opportunity, promote accepted quotes toorders within the CRM system and print the quote/order in predefined templates.
  • Enhanced Outlook Integration - New Outlook integration features have been added to V5.7 including enhanced email filing which allows received emails to be related to the appropriate contact, cases, opportunities, etc. Tasks, appointments and contacts can also be automatically synchronized to Outlook or manually initiated by the user as needed.
  • Global Document Library - A new centralized document library has been added to allow sharing of corporate documents and templates among CRM users. Documents are easily created and uploaded to the library where users will be able to perform document merges for templates they have saved locally or using the templates stored in the library.
  • Advanced Searching - The search engine is easier, faster and more intuitive. It allows users to better control the lookups throughout the system.

GoldMine® 6.7 Corporate Edition is the latest version of FrontRange's Microsoft SQL Server based GoldMine product. GoldMine 6.7 Corporate Edition contains several key new features and enhancements:
  • Advanced Palm PDA Integration: Security enhancements, pending activity filtering and support for the latest Palm based devices.
  • Enhanced Record Typing: Get simplified and faster searching by record type, enforcement of field auto-populate rules and data entry uniformity

    Provide your sales teams with timely access to critical customer data when and where they need it. Microsoft CRM Mobile enables contact management and opportunity management capabilities on Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC 2003 devices.
  • Microsoft CRM Redeployment Tools
    The Redeployment Tools allows an existing Microsoft CRM installation in any supported language to be redeployed to a second CRM installation with the same CRM version and language. A redeployment using these tools will redeploy the CRM application data, system customizations, systems settings, security settings, and custom reports to the second installation.
  • Microsoft CRM Reporting Plus Pack
    With the Microsoft CRM 1.2 Report you can add, delete, and rename Microsoft Business Solutions CRM reports even if you do not have Crystal Reports 9 installed.

SalesLogix v6.2 Service Pack 1 is now available. The SalesLogix v6.2 Launch Bulletin has been updated to include a "What's New" section for SP1 information. This section provides a brief overview of some important items that have changed in the service pack release. The document is located on Support Online under SalesLogix v6.2 downloads. Here are some highlights regarding this release:

  • Implementation of a new Concurrent User pricing model to allow casual users and shift workers to share licenses
  • Support for the Oracle 10g database
  • Enhanced support for .NET with the SalesLogix data provider
