Salesforce.com Acquires Sendia Corporation
Salesforce.com has announced the next generation of mobile applications with AppExchange Mobile, through the acquisition of Sendia Corporation. Through this acquisition, salesforce.com's customers will be able to access the power of the world's most popular on-demand applications via mobile handheld devices. The combination of the AppExchange on- demand platform with the mobile technology from Sendia will mobile-enable more than 60 on-demand applications that are currently available on the AppExchnange. With AppExchange Mobile, all current and future AppExchange partners will be able to quickly and easily extend their on-demand applications to any mobile device with no extra development cost or complexity.

What does this mean for Salesforce users? With AppExchange Mobile, customers can extend their on-demand applications to the mobile workforce. In addition to the Salesforce suite of on-demand applications, including Salesforce SFA, Salesforce Service & Support and Salesforce Marketing, more than 60 applications on the AppExchange are mobile- ready today. These solutions range from horizontal applications such as HR, payroll and expense report to vertically focused solutions

Harvest Solutions Announces New Salesforce Classes
Harvest Solutions is proud to introduce our new Salesforce training. We are offering 3 new classes at this time. Each class focuses on a specific area within Salesforce: Campaign Management, Reports and Dashboards and Case Management.

  • In the "Campaign Management for Salesforce" class, you will learn to plan, manage and track your company's marketing initiatives within salesforce.com.
  • In the "Using Reports and Dashboards in Salesforce" class, you will learn the fundamental concepts of creating and analyzing organizational data using the Salesforce.com Report Wizard and Dashboards.

Sage CRM SalesLogixSalesLogix
Service Pack 4 for Version 6.2 is Now Available
This new service pack includes bug fixes, synchronization and conflict resolution changes.

In addition to defect fixes, SLX v6.2.4 provides a technology preview of the Optimization Toolkit. The SQL Optimization Toolkit (Technology Preview) adds the following features and functionality to SalesLogix:

  • Provides a database independent mechanism for tuning SQL executed through the SalesLogix OLE DB Provider that does not require source level access to the SQL. You can use the Optimization Toolkit to hand-tune certain SQL statements. This may be used for troubleshooting performance issues that arise due to large databases and user sites.
  • This Optimization Toolkit is integrated with the SalesLogix Profiling Toolkit. Individual queries can be selected and tuned, and the Provider substitutes the optimized query when any client application attempts to execute it.
  • Optimized queries are database specific. Therefore, hand-tuned queries for each database vendor can co-exist in one database to support an Oracle host and Microsoft SQL remote environments.
  • Optimizations can be turned on and off without having to remove them completely.
  • Please note: This is an unsupported technology preview.

Service Pack 4 is a cumulative release and includes all changes previously released in v6.2.3.
