TIPS & TRICKSWeb applications tend to have this annoying habit of forcing the end user to have to open a single records edit window in order to edit a database record. So many of us prefer the rich client experience of yester-year when all one had to do was make a change in a control field, tab off the field and the data was committed to the database. Even nicer is the usability of something like Microsoft Excel where one can go from field to field updating records at will without having to leave the familiarity of the grid interface nor open a new edit window. That kind of functionality is now available using a tool from c360 called Record Editor. Click here to watch a video demonstration of the feature. It is bundled with many other useful functions and features all designed to improve the end user experience and promote system adoption. The Salesforce/Winter ’08 release features a powerful new enhancement that is sure to increase data quality, user adoption and productivity. What is this new feature? Inline editing!
