"Speak" with Salesforce CRM

Remember back when you were a kid watching science fiction shows like Star Trek where they would be talking to the computer and not using a keyboard to interface with it? It seemed so futuristic and I didn't dream that that would come to fruition in my lifetime.
Along comes the Dragon NaturallySpeaking from Nuance. It is an amazing tool that can be used in conjunction with Salesforce CRM and I use it to enter notes in opportunities, contacts and leads.
Dragon is nothing new - quite honestly they were a customer of mine over 10 years ago and the technology was decent at the time but today it is significantly improved. One of the things that is most impressive is that the training time is significantly less than previous editions. I literally installed the software and was up and running within five minutes.
I find myself using it all the time. In fact I'm using it to write this blog. My typing skills leave much to be desired but I'm significantly more productive using this tool. My next endeavor is to train commands in Dragon so that I can execute certain functions within Salesforce CRM which I'm told can be done. I will post updates on that in the future. In the meantime, go to the store and buy a copy you won't be disappointed.
