With EXTERNAL ATTACHMENTS, an AppExchange application from Force.com Labs, you can continue to manage documents on your network and give your users an easy way to attach and access them from related records in Salesforce.
This component provides an External Attachment Custom Object and Custom Related List button for locating and attaching network file references to the following objects:
- Leads
- Accounts
- Contacts
- Opportunities
- Cases
- Assets
After installing, all you will need to do is edit the page layouts where you want to utilize the functionality.
